Caria

Caria near Drapia is a characteristic village located on one of the many hills overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. Nearby, there are several 17th century churches, the Galluppi Castle, and the San Leo Cave. Caria is almost completely surrounded by vast forests with chestnut, oak, pine, and acacia trees. A real treasure of nature. This area, unknown to most tourists, invites you to a cozy picnic in the middle of nature. Collect delicious wild mushrooms and wild asparagus, or be guided over the wide landscapes to collect juicy oranges. It is part of the lifestyle here to celebrate a delicious communal dinner with local products. A typical product from the region is the Sujaca bean. It is cultivated on the Poro plain. The soil there gives the beans a unique, unmistakable aroma. Each year a Sagra, a folk festival, is celebrated with the bean at its center. This meeting of gastronomy and folklore should not be missed! Nearby, there are several 17th century churches, the Galluppi Castle, and the San Leo Cave. Franco Host

Hello, I am Franco, and a great nature lover. In the course of time, I have passionately created an ideal environment with all the things I love. So my garden is full of lush plants and flowers, or trees with different fruits like olives, from which we get the best oil. Just like the plants, I have a passion for animals, and so, besides my beloved dogs and turtles, all kinds of birds can be found in my little park. I am looking forward to being a host, because I am very interested in getting to know other cultures, pondering them, and learning more about them. I would also like to offer other people a place of tranquility away from the everyday chaos.
