Giordano's grandfather was a famous painter in the area. In his honor, in 1994, Giordano opened a permanent exhibition of more than 100 works in the old studio, the first floor of the building. In recent years, other artists were repeatedly invited to exhibit alongside the works of his grandfather.

Barga is a sleepy town on a cliff, 400 meters above sea level. It offers a beautiful view from the surrounding hills. Barga harbours a relaxed atmosphere, with plenty of art and culture, such as the two major music festivals "Barga Jazz" and "Opera Barga". In addition to a hippodrome, a tennis court, and a swimming pool, Barga is a particularly excellent starting point for visiting the nearby Garfagnana, a Luccan mountain landscape. Even cities like Lucca and Pisa are not far away. There are countless small medieval villages in the immediate vicinity. Near the accommodation, you will find bars, restaurants, a wine bar, and an ice cream parlor. Just five minutes walk away, in the new part of town, there are several shops, grocery stores and a post office.

Giordano Host

I also live in this wonderful home, and am very much attached to it, partly because of the memories of my grandfather. This also means that I'm always right there, if you have questions or need something. I am convinced that there is no problem without a solution, and I can help you with everything. Also, I love art and music, which is why I maintain the exhibition in the house, and sometimes concerts are played in the two wings of the house. I'm really looking forward to welcoming you into my house, and tell you about all the beautiful places in the surroundings.
